What personal data we collect

Depending on how you use our website, we collect the following information:

  • Webshop Orders: When you purchase a product, we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment details, and order history.
  • User Accounts: If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, and save your preferences and order history.
  • Contact Form: When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message content you submit.
  • Technical & Analytics Data: We automatically collect technical information through Google Analytics 4, including your IP address and browsing behavior, but only if you accept cookies through our cookie consent banner.

How we collect your data

Personal data is collected directly when you voluntarily submit information through our checkout process, account registration, or contact form. Analytics data is collected automatically through Google Analytics 4, which is managed by Cloudflare Zaraz and only loads after you provide cookie consent.

Purpose and legal basis for processing

Under the GDPR, we must have a valid legal basis to process your data:

  • Processing Orders: We use your personal and payment data to process and deliver your webshop orders. The legal basis for this is the performance of a contract.
  • Account Management: We process account data to allow you to log in, view past orders, and manage your details. The legal basis is the performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in providing a user-friendly shopping experience.
  • Tax Compliance: We process and store order data to comply with Dutch tax administration laws. The legal basis is a legal obligation.
  • Customer Support: We process your contact form data to respond to your inquiries. The legal basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in communicating with clients.
  • Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to analyze website traffic and improve user experience. This processing is based on your explicit consent through our cookie banner.

Data storage and security

We take the protection of your data seriously. Your data is:

  • Stored on our secure servers with HTTPS/SSL encryption to protect data during checkout
  • Protected through appropriate technical and organizational security measures, including strong password hashing for user accounts
  • Contact form data is forwarded to our secure email account for processing

Data retention

We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary:

  • Webshop Administration: By law (Belastingdienst), we are required to keep our basic administration including invoices, order details, and payment data for 7 years.
  • User Accounts: We keep your account information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will erase your profile data (though historical order data will be kept for the 7-year legal requirement).
  • Contact Forms: We retain contact form data for as long as necessary to fulfill your inquiry and maintain our business relationship.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your data with trusted third parties necessary to operate our webshop:

  • Payment Processors: To process your payments securely during checkout.
  • Shipping & Delivery Partners: To deliver your physical orders to your address.
  • IT & Hosting Providers: To host our website and manage our secure email communications.
  • Cloudflare Zaraz & Google Analytics 4: For cookie consent management and website analytics (only when you consent to cookies).

Your rights under GDPR

Under the GDPR and Dutch AVG, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate personal data (which you can often do yourself via your “My Account” page)
  • Request erasure of your personal data (subject to our legal retention requirements)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].

Cookies

We use essential WooCommerce cookies for our webshop to function (like keeping items in your cart) and Google Analytics 4 cookies to analyze website usage. Analytics cookies are only placed after you provide explicit consent. For a full list of cookies, please read our Cookie Policy.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our webshop or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
